The industry often talks about alkali-containing and alkali-free materials. In fact, most factories have already adopted alkali-free mesh cloth. Our quality inspection starts with checking the product's appearance to make sure its overall shape is neat and uniform.
You can also find many quality‑check videos from peers online that feature the burning test. If the material burns completely into ashes, it is considered to be of good quality.
As for tensile strength, some factories use specialized equipment to pull and stretch the mesh cloth under a fixed torque load.
We work with long‑term, reliable suppliers. Nevertheless, when it comes to mesh cloth, freshness is of utmost importance.
Freshness here refers to the condition of the product after it leaves the factory. As it is a chemically‑synthesized material, its chemical composition will degrade and dry out if stored for too long. This indicator is far more critical than other test items.
If bulk‑purchased mesh cloth sits in the warehouse for extended periods, its tensile strength will be compromised.
There are three major factors affecting mesh‑cloth freshness: excessive temperature, overly long storage cycles, and fluctuations in ambient humidity.
Mesh cloth stored for too long may also stick together in sheets. Our production lines are fully-automatic. When sheets stick to one another, machines cannot perform automatic suction feeding. Workers have to manually pat and separate them, which significantly reduces production efficiency.
During the subsequent hardening process, substances volatilized from the mesh cloth will also be affected. If the mesh cloth becomes overly dry and loses its freshness, finished products are prone to performance fluctuations.
Therefore, we have incorporated raw-material control into our quality-management system:
First, all orders and raw materials are purchased on-demand according to customers' delivery-schedule requirements and put into production as soon as they arrive.
Second, great importance is attached to raw-material storage conditions.
I have learned that some competitors store all their mesh cloth in air-conditioned warehouses. At present, some of our raw materials are kept in air-conditioned rooms, while mesh cloth is stored under normal room-temperature conditions.
