My take on this: you guys finalize a standard template yourselves. I won’t keep asking me to settle all these trivial details. Think about what makes your work easier.
Right now, for example, you put the number “2” followed by “double mesh”, “1” with “single mesh”, then how should you label “2.5”? Then you repeat the numbers in Chinese characters. Do we also need full capital Chinese numerals later if further issues pop up? All relevant information only needs to be shown in one place, with extra details in the remarks.
Just imagine — doesn’t this only create more work for everyone? More than just you will be working on this system. Discuss it with Ayan and lock down a template.
Here’s what happened earlier: the boss’s wife asked staff to repeat information already stated on the order template once again in the remarks section. It’s like repeating important information three times. What’s the point? If you’ve already written it out upfront and restate it again in remarks, can you possibly fit every single piece of information you want to convey in the remarks column? I don’t think this is necessary.
Lots of employees come to me to confirm tiny details from internal communications. In my opinion, they can make these calls on their own. As long as everyone cross-checks to ensure no miscommunication. Just state information clearly where it belongs.
If the current display format is confusing, switch to a clearer layout that avoids misunderstandings between teams. We’re looking to make adjustments because miscommunication has happened internally before.
But constantly duplicating existing information inside the remarks column serves no purpose. What do you all think? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
