Confused about cutting disc mesh cloth?1+1>2

Today we are going to introduce our raw material: fiberglass mesh for abrasive cutting wheels.
These two pieces of mesh fabric are the same in size, but why do they look so different?
Will they affect the final product quality? And what are their differences in applicable product specifications?
There are three key parameters for regular mesh cloth: diameter, inner hole, tensile strength and mesh count.
Different combinations of these three parameters decide their applicable usage scenarios.
For outer mesh: it features fine mesh count and relatively low tensile strength by standard design.
As for inner mesh, it has a larger mesh opening and much higher strength compared with outer mesh, since it is placed inside the abrasive wheel.
The mesh count I mentioned refers to the size of each grid square. The grid squares of inner mesh are bigger than those of outer mesh, and its tensile strength is also superior.
Each abrasive wheel only uses one piece of inner mesh, while two pieces of outer mesh are required for one wheel.
Therefore, we adjust the strength and mesh count of the two types of mesh to match different wheel structures. That’s why we choose different mesh cloth for different products.
You can clearly tell the difference between single-mesh wheels and double-mesh wheels:
For double-mesh wheels, two layers of outer mesh are visible on the surface;
For single-mesh wheels, only one piece of inner mesh is embedded inside, invisible to the naked eye. This is the most obvious distinction.
Naturally, the unit price varies between inner and outer mesh, calculated per piece.
A single piece of inner mesh costs more than a single outer mesh. However, double-mesh products require two outer meshes, whose total cost exceeds that of one inner mesh.
As a result, double-layer mesh abrasive wheels have a higher unit price than single-mesh ones.
